Haris Muhtadi

Chairman, Aquafeed Division, Indonesia Feedmills Association & Associate Director, PT CJ Feed and Livestock Indonesia

Haris Muhtadi is the current Chairman, Aquafeed Division of the Indonesia Feedmills Association (GPMT) and Associate Director at PT CJ Feed and Livestock Indonesia which he joined in 2016. GPMT (Gabungan Perusahaan Makanan Ternak) has an influential role; bringing together industry players, community, and government in establishing a competent livestock and aquaculture industry, particularly in relation to ingredient availability and addressing challenges in Indonesia.

A graduate in fisheries from Diponegoro University, Indonesia, Haris started his career in aquaculture in 1990, working was a Farm Technician at a CP Prima farm in Medan, Sumatra and was responsible for shrimp grow-out farm management and demonstrations to farmers. In 1991-2004, he worked as Sales Manager for shrimp feeds with PT Suri Tani Pemuka (part of the multinational PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk), covering East Indonesia. Subsequently, he worked with Alltech Biotechnology, as Technical Sales Manager, Aquaculture Support before joining PT CJ Feed and Livestock Indonesia. At CJ Jombang in East Java, the first shrimp feedmill, Haris started with one line for shrimp feeds reaching its full capacity in 2009, after adding another shrimp feed line in late 2008. Expansion continued and by 2018, CJ has 6 lines for shrimp feeds in two feedmills; Jombang and Lampung. Next, the company will add another 2 lines in a new feedmill in Serang, Banten province to become a leader in shrimp feed production in Indonesia.
