Tim Noonan

Enterprise Strategy Leader, Cargill Animal Nutrition, USA

Mr Tim Noonan is the Enterprise Strategy Leader for Cargill’s animal nutrition business, which has more than 23,000 employees at more than 280 facilities in 40 countries and offers a range of compound feed, premixes, feed additives, supply chain and risk management solutions, digital tools, and animal nutrition expertise that helps put food every day on the plates of nearly one billion people around the world. Prior to joining Cargill’s animal nutrition business, Tim spent more than 16 years in the private equity industry, leading or participating in acquisitions, divestitures, or equity investments across five continents. Most recently, Tim was a London-based Managing Director at Proterra Investment Partners, which is believed to be the largest food- and agriculture-focused private equity fund manager in emerging markets globally. Proterra spun out of Black River Asset Management, a former subsidiary of Cargill. Before joining Black River, Tim was based in Abu Dhabi as a Senior Vice President with Gulf Capital, a leading private equity fund manager focused on high-growth industries, including food and energy, in the Middle East and Africa. Previously, Tim was a Vice President with Oryx Capital, a private equity firm with offices in the United States and Saudi Arabia and a focus on food ingredients. Tim began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Merrill Lynch & Co. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business economics, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame.
