State of Industry: Feed Commodities & Aquafeeds
Abstract
Plant-based feed ingredient costs do not move randomly — they follow a logic. Even in today’s uncertain environment, prices for corn, soybeans, wheat, and their co-products continue to respond to identifiable market forces. This presentation gives aquafeed professionals a practical framework for understanding what drives feed grain ingredient costs in a volatile market.
The presentation will explore the main factors currently influencing feed grain ingredient markets, including supply and demand fundamentals, seasonal patterns, and linkages across grain, oilseed, energy, and co-product markets. It will also consider broader influences such as geopolitics, weather, freight, and other disruptions affecting market conditions.
