Kim Tran

Kim Tran is a Nutrition & Support Director Aqua Asia at Royal De Heus. She brings a strong technical background from her previous role as Head of Formulation at Grobest Vietnam, where she built a solid foundation in shrimp feed formulation and production. Throughout her career, Kim has worked closely with aquafeed mills, gaining hands-on experience in balancing macro- and micro-ingredients, optimizing feed additives, and managing costs while maintaining feed performance.

She is passionate about developing nutritional solutions tailored to different species, farming systems, and production stages. With a practical, field-oriented approach, Kim focuses on turning nutritional concepts into measurable improvements in shrimp growth, health, and farm profitability. She remains committed to advancing her expertise in aquaculture nutrition and is particularly interested in innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering real value to industry.

Kim has a MSc degree in Sustainable Aquaculture under an AusAID scholarship from Curtin University, Perth, Australia and a PhD degree in Fish Nutrition under The Netherlands Fellowship Program at Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
