Sunil Kadri

Sunil is an aquaculture scientist and innovation leader with more than 30 years' international experience in fish behaviour, welfare, precision aquaculture and technology commercialisation. His career has focused on understanding fish feeding behaviour and translating that knowledge into practical technologies that improve feeding efficiency, fish welfare and farm productivity.

He has led research and development programs spanning fish welfare, feeding strategies, sensor technologies and intelligent feeding systems, working closely with industry to commercialise innovations for aquaculture. He has extensive experience building partnerships between researchers, technology developers, producers and governments across Asia, Australasia, the Americas and Europe to accelerate the adoption of smart aquaculture solutions.

Sunil’s work has increasingly focused on precision feeding, artificial intelligence, hydroacoustic monitoring and decision-support systems that enable farmers to optimise feeding, reduce waste, improve sustainability and enhance fish welfare. Throughout his career, he has championed the integration of scientific research with commercial innovation to deliver practical outcomes for the aquaculture industry.
