Kit Yong is the founder of Forte Biotech P L, a Singapore-based company helping farmers improve biosecurity through their on-site molecular diagnostics. His team developed the RAPID platform, which delivers lab-grade, quantitative disease results directly on farms, enabling early intervention and reducing antibiotic use. Since launching in 2024, Forte has expanded to eight countries across Southeast Asia, serving over 80 customers. With backing from the National University of Singapore, Temasek Foundation, and A*Star Singapore, Forte Biotech has helped farmers reduce FCR, mortality and increase profits through early pre-symptomatic disease detection. Kit is passionate about applying scalable, affordable biotech to strengthen food security and sustainability.
